Public-private dialogue (PPD) is any form of interaction between the public and private sectors, including the exchange of information, opinions, experiences and knowledge between the representative from the local government and the owners of micro, small and medium enterprises / associations; consulting of the private sector about the important issues of community development and improvement of business environment; private sector involvement in the decision-making process at the local level. Public-private dialogue is one of the key prerequisites for creating a favorable business environment and overall sustainable development of the municipality of Konjic.
The initiative for the establishment of the Local Competitiveness Council (LCC) as authority for conducting of PPD launched Konjic municipality and the Economic Development Agency “PRVI KORAK” LLC Konjic, and is supported by the Ministry of Economy of the Herzegovina-Neretva Canton, Regional Economic Development Agency for Herzegovina (REDAH) and GIZ – German Society for International Development.
Local Competitiveness Council (LCC) of Konjic municipality aims to improve the public private dialogue between the public, private and civil sector and to improve the competitiveness of the economy and development of our municipality, with the ultimate goal of growth of living standards of all our citizens. To achieve this goal, we want within municipalities, cantons, and beyond, to create conditions for increasing the competitiveness of the private sector, because only the private sector creates added value in the economy, thereby promoting overall economic growth.
